Getting Started

What is FireLoop?

FireLoop is a free online platform where music producers can discover, preview, and download high-quality audio samples and loops. Our community-driven library includes thousands of sounds across various genres like Hip-Hop, EDM, Trap, Lo-Fi, House, and more. Whether you need drums, melodies, bass lines, or FX, FireLoop has you covered.

Do I need to create an account to use FireLoop?

You can browse and preview all samples without an account. However, to download samples, like your favorites, or upload your own loops, you'll need to create a free account. Registration only takes a few seconds – you can sign up with your email or use Google sign-in.

Is FireLoop really free?

Yes! FireLoop is completely free to use. You can create an account, browse the entire library, download samples, and even upload your own loops at no cost. We support the platform through non-intrusive advertising.

Using Samples

Are FireLoop loops royalty free?

Yes! All samples on FireLoop are 100% royalty-free. This means you can use them in your personal and commercial projects without paying any additional licensing fees or royalties. There are no hidden costs, and you don't need to credit the original creator (although it's always appreciated). You have complete creative freedom to use our loops in your music, videos, podcasts, games, and any other media.

Can I use these samples commercially?

Absolutely! FireLoop samples are cleared for commercial use. You can use them in:

  • Music releases – Songs on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, etc.
  • Client projects – Beats for artists, commercial advertisements
  • Content creation – YouTube videos, podcasts, streaming content
  • Game development – Background music and sound effects
  • Film & TV – Soundtracks and background scores

There's no revenue limit and no attribution required. The only restriction is that you cannot resell or redistribute the raw samples as part of another sample pack.

What are the best BPM ranges for trap loops?

Trap music typically uses slower tempos compared to other electronic genres. The most common BPM ranges for trap are:

  • 130-150 BPM – Classic trap territory, perfect for hard-hitting beats
  • 140-145 BPM – The sweet spot for modern trap and drill
  • 70-75 BPM (half-time) – Slower trap with heavy 808s, often used in modern hip-hop

On FireLoop, you can filter loops by BPM to find trap samples that match your project's tempo. Many producers also use samples at double or half-time to create unique variations.

What audio formats are available?

All samples on FireLoop are available in high-quality WAV format (44.1kHz, 16-bit or higher). WAV is the industry standard for music production and is compatible with all major DAWs including FL Studio, Ableton Live, Logic Pro, Pro Tools, and more.

How do I find samples that match my project's BPM and key?

Use our advanced filtering system on the Loops page. You can filter by:

  • BPM – Find loops that match your project tempo
  • Key – Search for samples in a specific musical key
  • Genre – Browse by style (Hip-Hop, EDM, Lo-Fi, etc.)
  • Category – Filter by instrument type (drums, bass, piano, etc.)

Music Production Tips

How do I match samples to my project's tempo?

Most DAWs have a time-stretching feature that allows you to change a sample's tempo without affecting its pitch. In FL Studio, use the "Stretch" mode. In Ableton, enable "Warp" mode. Always try to find samples close to your target BPM to maintain audio quality.

What's the difference between a loop and a one-shot?

Loops are audio clips designed to repeat seamlessly. They typically contain a full musical phrase (1-8 bars) that loops perfectly. Great for building the foundation of your track.

One-shots are single, isolated sounds like a single drum hit, a chord, or an FX sound. They're meant to be triggered once and are perfect for creating custom patterns.

How do I layer samples effectively?

Here are some tips for effective sample layering:

  • Use EQ to carve out space for each layer
  • Make sure samples are in the same key (or harmonically compatible)
  • Adjust timing to ensure everything is in sync
  • Use volume and panning to create depth
  • Less is often more – don't over-layer
